What to expect:
Food
This year you will get to choose when and what you eat. Hungry right when you arrive? No problem. Don't want to eat until the program starts? Totally fine. Need a snack after dancing your feet off? By all means! We will have chef attended stations throughout the space, with cocktail tables to pause to eat, or the option to wait to fill a plate and bring it into the main room to eat during the program.
Food choices include roasted pig sliders, a pasta bar cooked right in front of you with your choice of add ins including steak, shrimp, chicken, meatballs, mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, and three different sauces. A wide variety of sushi, an overflowing dessert bar, and late-night snacks when the band starts of fried pickles and mozzarella sticks.
There will be plenty of options to accommodate all dietary restrictions, but please send an email to cscdev@catawbascience.org if you have concerns about what you will be able to eat!
Drinks
Your ticket will include unlimited prosecco at the prosecco cart while supplies last, two drink tickets to exchange for beer/wine/soda at any open bar, and wine on the tables during the program if you are a sponsor.
There will also be multiple cash bars open throughout the eventing!
Emcee
Lenny Love, founder of the Lifting Love Network, will be running the show for us this year! Check out his podcast, and his YouTube channel, and get ready to feel inspired!
Music
Local band 20/20 will be leading the charge on getting you on your feet after the program!
Games
Game tickets will be available for $10 a ticket, or $50 for 6 tickets!
We don't want to give too much away on what the games will be, but the Jr. Guild is currently building a giant volcano..
Each game will have unique prizes from Crumbl cookies to 6 packs of beer, bottles of wine, a championship basketball ring, and much more, so come ready to win!
Auction
Live Auction: ONLY accessible for guests at the event! Bid on items such as wines from around the world, an exclusive chef's table right here at CSC in our dinosaur exhibit, and more.
Online Auction: Accessible to all, this auction will open a week before the event and close a day after the event. Very cool items will be available so don't miss this!
What to Wear?
What originally began as a spaghetti dinner has grown to a gala! Think anywhere between Smart Casual to Formal. The theme this year is Under the Canopy, A Prehistoric Evening. See if you can tie into that with hues of greens golds and patterns that feel "upscale Jurassic". The photo ops are going to be EPIC.
What to Bring?
Cash and a check book if you plan to buy game tickets ($10 a ticket, or $50 for 6 tickets) or bid on any Live Auction items! The auction platform charges a 4% processing fee on credit card transactions. Any time you pay with cash or a check, we get to keep 100% of your payment with no fees, and we thank you for that.
Your love of the Catawba Science Center! All of the fun at this event will benefit another fantastic year of science and improvements for the opportunities able to be offered to the community and beyond.
